Fashion Fantasy

When I was invited to Suffolk Fashion Show on Thursday the 4th of October, I jumped at the chance to attend!

 suffolk fashion show

Hosted by Pam Davis of Fashion Candy Style in support of Lighthouse Women’s Aid - which provides help to women and their children experiencing domestic abuse within relationships, both personal and family - the night raised £2,315: match-funded by Barclays Bank. An incredible amount of money for such a worthy cause which is close to my heart!

Arriving at the event, I was greeted with not only the fashion show itself, but the ‘5th Avenue Fashion Arcade’, showcasing catwalk-partnering boutiques. Names featured included QUIZ, Cake & Catwalk, Simply Splendid, Maud’s Attic and Truffle. The event not only included women’s fashion, but also highlighted menswear: showcasing pieces from Moss Bros, Twist & Shout and Zest.

We dined on canape-style food, antipasti boards and dessert tapas as the show commenced; kicked off by the director herself. Pam introduced herself and shared her incredible journey to where she is today - including regular appearances on daytime show This Morning. We learned Pam’s goal: to create an annual fashion event for Suffolk that will put the county on the fashion calendar, and she is doing just that!

Pam’s established Model Bank has enabled her to recruit a diverse range of aspiring models, the majority of whom were on the catwalk. I am sure it was organised chaos backstage with the number of outfits they changed into, but they all pulled it off very well and everyone involved should be very proud.

It was such a fantastic night and will return on the 3rd October 2019.
