How Tolerant Are We?
As someone who’s had to deal with food intolerance for over 15 years, I know what it’s like to go through the struggles of daily life when you don’t know what’s happening to your body. Thankfully, I’ve also been able to learn how it affects you, and more importantly how to control it and even overcome it.
With rates of food intolerance, IBS, allergies and similar at their highest ever, you have to wonder why in only the last few decades these conditions have suddenly become a problem? Did we just not have the science to understand them back then? Are we only now taking notice of our nutrition and health because of the increase in obesity, disease and other illnesses?
One thing I believe to be true is that with the ever-increasing consumption of processed and genetically-altered food, we as humans are putting ourselves at risk by allowing unnatural chemicals and products to enter our system. This is something our bodies were not designed to cope with, and consequently over time they have weakened as we continue to consume without knowing any better or being able to deal efficiently with the issue.
The good news for people with food intolerance is that there is a wide range of different foods that will provide your body with everything it needs, without you having to suffer any of the side effects of your intolerance. You can also do this by choosing natural ingredients at the supermarket, thereby avoiding any processed foods that will only have a negative effect on you too.
